With over 76 precincts and 11,840 votes counted Tuesday night, Felicia Agrelius, appeared to be succeeding in her bid to unseat Robert Goldman, a 10-year incumbent on the Marin County Board of Education.
Agrelius had over 59% of the vote while Goldman had 40.9%. Agrelius had 6,994 votes to Goldman’s 4,846.
Agrelius, 25, who works for Marin County’s only community agency devoted to serving the LGBTQIA community, made eliminating school resource officers a central issue in her campaign. Goldman, 79, a retired FBI agent, supports the continued use of the officers.
