A Columbia man charged with invasion of privacy for the fifth time in a little more than two months was denied bond Wednesday.
Ronald Dameron appeared in a Boone County courtroom Wednesday afternoon for a hearing to determine his bond. Dameron is being held on two no bond warrants.
Judge Stephanie Morrell ordered Dameron to be held without bond. She also denied Dameron's request for house arrest.
"You are being held with no bond, I find that you are a danger to the community and no matter what conditions I impose on you, you continue to violate them," Morell said.
Dameron was most recently accused of trying to take pictures up a woman's skirt on July 7 at the Columbia Public Library. He has been charged with invasion of privacy or attempted invasion of privacy six times dating back to last August, including incidents at Hy-Vee and JC Penney.
Dameron will not be charged as a sex offender. In Missouri, the crimes that require a person to register as a sex offender include kidnapping a child, prostitution, sexually exploiting a child, child pornography, obscenity, incest, sexual contact with a resident of a nursing home and sexual abuse. Invasion of privacy does not fall under these charges.
