The last week has brought record temperatures and strong winds to the central United States prompting many brush fires and Fire Danger warnings. Past the Easter holiday, the fire danger concerns will focus on the desert Southwest where fire weather alerts are already in place for the early work week. Red Flag Warnings are in place east of the I-15 corridor for Tuesday as well into Utah.
The severe drought conditions continue over the desert Southwest. With no meaningful rainfall in the forecast, fire danger will remain high through the coming days.
