REDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police in Redford Township announced the barricaded situation on Lucerne Avenue, between Capitol and Wadsworth streets, has come to an end Sunday evening.
Initially, police were urging residents to shelter in place and avoid windows as a barricaded gunman was confined to a home in the area. Local 4 cameras captures a large police presence at the scene, just north of the intersection of Plymouth Road and Beech Daly.
About six hours after telling people to stay inside, just before 8:30 p.m., police said that there was no longer any danger to the public.
Further details were not released and police said they would release a statement Monday morning regarding the situation.
