Opinion: Misinformation is a danger we all face - The San Diego Union-Tribune

Re “Activists protest possible restrictions on unvaccinated San Diegans” (July 30): I would like to see more coverage of misinformation in regards to any subject, but particularly the issues of vaccine dangers and election fraud.

You can put anything on the internet, true or false. There are no filters to warn you about potential false or misleading information in most cases. If you want to find the “research” to justify your fears, you can find it easily on the internet, the Wild West of misinformation and fake news.

The vaccination effort should start with stamping out the misinformation on the internet and exposing the people who generate it as frauds.

There should be a bipartisan effort that also includes industry leaders to stamp out these misinformation forest fires and create a trustworthy platform for the truth.

Expose the frauds and put the real truth in front of the American people. No hidden agendas. Just the facts and the truth, backed up by science and reality.
