The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball team opened the Grahm Smith Era with an abbreviated, unpredictable season that showed great strides. Here are some highlights of the 2020-21 season.

3-Point Queen: On February 8th at Mars Hill, Kennedy Weigt shot herself to the top of the LR record book with her 184th career three pointer. Weigt broke Jazmine Charles' record and finished her career with 198 career three-pointers made.

Freshman Phenom: In her first year as a Bear, Emily Harman came away with the SAC Freshman of the Year honors. The guard from Chesapeake, VA finished the year ninth in the SAC in scoring (14.1) and rebounds (7.2) and fourth in assists (4.1). Harman added two double-doubles on the year including a 33-point, 11-rebound effort in the Bears double overtime win against Anderson.

Player of the Week: Harman also earned SAC Player of the Week accolades during the last week of the regular season. Harman just missed a triple double in the home finale while going for 29 points and eight rebounds against Queens to end the regular season.

All Hands on Deck: The Bears had 18 different players play this year and 15 started at least one game. No Bear played all 19 games. 11 different players lead the team in scoring at least once while five different Bears had a double-double on the season.

Unbalanced Schedule: In a season that was unpredictable, the Bears opened with three games in December before an extended holiday break had the Bears not playing a game for 21 days before finishing the season with nine games in 19 days.

Conference Only: With the abbreviated season, the Bears played all 20 games against SAC schools including a game at Wingate in February that was considered a non-conference game.

Crooks Emerged: Freshman Blaikley Crooks emerged late for the Bears. Crooks finished the regular season with three of her seven double figures scoring games. Crooks averaged 13.7 points and 4.7 rebounds on 56% shooting to end the regular season.

Stepping Up: Addisen DeLucas stepped up during a three game week in January. During the week, DeLucas played all 120 minutes while having a career high 18 points and 11 rebounds against Queens and 6 steals against Mars Hill.
