PERRY COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A historical landmark in Hazard is now in jeopardy of being demolished
The Mother Goose has been apart of the Perry County community for decades, but recent storm damage has raised concern for the building’s owners as they attempt to raise money for its restoration.
Raegan Francis’s family has owned the building for years and she said the damage is extensive.
“The inside of the Goose has become a little bit more than what we can handle personally,” Francis said. “Of course, my grandma and my grandpa who actually own the Goose currently, they have tried their best to upkeep the Goose and restore it to its former glory but throughout recent storms and things, the roof of the Goose especially has become a big problem.”
